Privacy Policy

DefterPad is built by Defter Solo. We designed it to be local-first and private. This policy explains what information the app and website handle, and how. In short: DefterPad does not require an account, and we do not collect, sell, or share your personal data.

The app does not require you to create an account or sign in, and it does not ask for personal information. The notebooks, drawings, handwriting, audio recordings, and related content you create are generated and stored on your device.

We do not collect your content, and we cannot read it.

Your notebooks and their contents are stored locally on your iPad. You can view, edit, export, back up, and permanently delete them at any time from within the app.

If you choose to enable syncing across your devices, DefterPad uses Apple's CloudKit framework, which stores your data in your own personal iCloud account. Defter Solo has no access to that container. This data is governed by Apple's privacy policy and security measures.

DefterPad does not embed any third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. If the app crashes, Apple may share aggregated, anonymized diagnostic information with developers — but only if you have opted in to share analytics with developers in your iOS or iPadOS privacy settings. This information cannot be used to identify you.

The only third-party service the app relies on is Apple iCloud / CloudKit, used solely to sync your own data within your own account. We do not use ad networks, data brokers, or cross-app tracking.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone. We have no advertising business and no incentive to collect more than the app needs to function.

DefterPad is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Because your content lives on your device and in your personal iCloud account, you remain in control of it. You can delete any notebook in the app, disable iCloud sync, or manage your backups at any time. For questions about your data, contact us using the details below.

When you visit defterpad.com, we may keep standard server logs or use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate page views, without tracking you across the internet and without advertising cookies. If you contact us through the website form, we use the details you provide only to respond to your message.
